How about it? Have an embarrassing song?

Admit it.  You have a song you dig, a song you turn up (when you’re all alone), a song that you sing out loud (when you’re all alone), a song that you instantly turn off/down when someone else walks into the room…  Let us know, what song is on your playlist, in your car, or anywhere else that you are too embarrassed to let anyone, ANYONE, know about for fear that they may see you in a whole new (musical) light?  It’s ok, we won’t tell :)

There’s a song on my MP3 player that when I have it on shuffle I have to make sure it doesn’t play when certain people are around. It’s not so much embarassing as it is a bit profane. Google “Hand Of The Almighty” buy John R. Butler but only iof you’re not easily offended.

“james Brown Ate My Bagpipeby Taxi Chain. The best Bagpipe Funk song you ever heard. Come to think of it probably the ONLY Bagpipe Funk song you ever heard!

That’s “James Brown Ate My Bagpipe” by Taxi Chain. I’ll be glad when I learn how to type!

On your “bumper music” there have been many, many times I’ve heard a spot on TV and wondered “Who the heck is that?!” I’m just happy I live in the “google” age, type in commercial name, followed by the word “music” and BANG! instant gratification.

That’s actually a song & band I had no idea that even existed… Good song though! I wouldn’t shame you on that.

I first heard the song as bumper music on AM radio’s the Neal Boortz Show. At first I e-mailed the engineer asking him the name of the song but got no reply. I did eventually find out who it was by Googling “funky bagpipes.”

I caught myself turning down Supertramp’s “Dreamer” today. So I’m guilty there too.
